Why?
I hate formatting content in a docx or Google doc. When I was updating my CV and had to reorder sections or change the layout at all, BOOM blank page at the end of the document, inconsistent bullet point indent, line spacing of doom.
You might say "skill issue" and you would be right; there's only so far my primary school MS Office experience can carry me. But the whole time I was thinking "damn I wish I could do this with html and CSS", dreaming of grid layouts and consistent rulesets. So I decided to create resume-md for myself and any other CSS-minded individuals. It has document-wide and per-sections styling to give users fine control and layout options. The content input accepts Markdown and HTML, you can add classes or just target the elements directly.
So yeah, let me know what you think (either on YT comments or on bluesky), the project is still in beta and there are features I want to add and small bugs to iron out, but it's functional. I tested it by re-creating my own CV.
Btw, I'm looking for a job so if you like what I do, hit me up.
